snippet: 2015 is the year of the Period. More and more women are coming off the Pill and celebrating the return of their own natural menstrual cycles. In this episode, we’ll look at what hormonal birth control really does to women, and how to recover to healthy ovulation and hormones.
On the 50 year anniversary, science still isn’t studying how women feel while taking the pill. Dr. Lara and I had a great time talking about the interesting movement in women’s health away from hormonal birth control, with plenty of anecdotal information and reasons why women are re-revolutionizing the scope of their own female reproductive health. Tune in for details on:
- how women’s brains change on hormonal birth control
- how the pill destroys women’s libido
- alternatives for sexually active teenagers
- the difference between true periods and ‘Pill Bleeds’
- low down on the synthetic hormones in birth control
- weight gain, bladder and yeast infections, acne and more!
